With 515 days to go until the Women’s World Cup in Brazil, FIFA unveiled the tournament’s official emblem and slogan at a hotel in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday (Jan. 25). The logo combines the letter M, which stands for woman in Portuguese, and the letter W, representing Woman and World in English. Together, the letters form a rhombus that alludes to the Brazilian flag and resembles the geometry of a soccer field. The World Cup trophy is prominently displayed in front of the symbol.
The slogan GO EPIC™ invites fans to take part in a memorable journey in Brazil. The tournament’s sound identity – inspired by Brazilian rhythms, samba percussion, and Afro-Brazilian heritage – was also launched.
Led by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the event brought together sports authorities and leading figures from men’s and women’s soccer.

“Brazil lives and breathes soccer, and you can already feel the excitement here as the country prepares to welcome the world and host a historic event,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.
A legend of the sport, former player Formiga – now Director of Soccer Policies and Promotion of Women’s Soccer at the National Secretariat of Soccer and Defense of Fan Rights of the Ministry of Sport – attended the launch alongside still-active player Cris Rozeira.

“I hope that we can bring fans closer to women’s soccer and, day by day, transform the structure of the women’s game,” Formiga emphasized.
Men’s soccer icons Cafu and Ronaldo Fenômeno were invited to symbolize the support of male athletes for the tournament.
“I’m the most excited Brazilian. I think we deserved to host the World Cup in our country, considering everything these girls have done to make this moment possible. We have some of the greatest representatives of women’s soccer here. When conditions were precarious, you helped make women’s soccer recognized worldwide. I could talk about many stars, but today is your day,” said Cafu, captain of Brazil’s five-time world champions.
The 2026 men’s World Cup was also highlighted at the event. Infantino stressed that [the tournament] “will be spectacular,” adding that “the world needs unity and joy, and we will bring joy to this World Cup.”
